FOUNDERS

Alain Carrière

After over 20 years amateur astronomer career with a special interest for Astrobiology, he was admitted in recognition of his skills at the Training and research Unit " Astronomy & Astrophysics " of the University PARIS XI to complete his formal education.
As founder of a first non-profit Organization in France in 1991, he is credited with many presentations and lectures as well as organized community star parties for the general public. During this time, he was also an Astronomy teacher at the Middle/High School level.

He is a former member of the Société Astronomique de France, the Association des Planétariums de Langue Française (Association of French speaking Planetariums) and is now a member of the Rocky Mountain Planetarium Association.

Beverly Burkett-Carrière

After a 20 years career as a nurse, Beverly began her own research in Astrobiology and, for 8 years, has spent her time helping educate others in this field of study, via Internet, public meetings, and by publishing a Journal of her research in 1998.

She and Alain decided to form a non-profit Organization that will provide a location for a fixed planetarium and Astronomy camp with a special attention to the needs of handicapped children and adults who so desperately need and desire such educational activities and experiences.

Beverly has been working with handicapped children most of her career and has dedicated her life to trying to improve the lives of those too often looked or ignored.
This is her gift to society, to those who deserve a chance to learn and grow.
